I asked Inspector97 to draw this picture of Romana III with K9.

There is disagreement among fans about whether the Romana III voiced by Juliet Landau in the Big Fish audios is the same character as the ruthless Romana III in the BBC books. I would argue that they are the same incarnation. Hence, I asked the artist to give her an outfit inspired by the BBC books.

I asked Jennie Cole to draw Elizabeth Klein smoking a cigarette. You don't often see Doctor Who characters smoking, so I thought it would make for a nice picture.

I know Klein's eyes are the wrong colour here, but otherwise it's a good picture.

Patience

I asked the excellent French artist Claire Lyxa to draw Patience as she appears in Lance Parkin's novel The Infinity Doctors.

Patience was the Doctor's long lost wife and Susan's grandmother. She first appeared in Cold Fusion.

Yssgaroth

I asked Sylvant to draw an Yssgaroth for me. I had not seen many pictures of these beings, so I really wanted to see a decent fanart of one.

The Yssgaroth appeared in the New Adventure novel The Pit, though they seem to be related to the vampires in State of Decay. They are creatures from another universe. Before the Gallifreyans became Time Lords, they experimented with black holes and unwittingly allowed the Yssgaroth to enter the universe. These terrible beings fought a war against the Gallifreyans that was so long it became known as the 'Eternal War.'

Though they were defeated, some of their vampire offspring survived and there are also sinister cults that worship the Yssgaroth.

Elizabeth Klein, UNIT Scientific Advisor

Inspired by UNIT Dominion, I asked French artist ClaireLyxa to draw Elizabeth Klein as UNIT security adviser. I think she did a fantastic job.

That is the outfit I imagine Klein wearing for work at UNIT.

Dr. Elizabeth Klein

I asked Jokerxsiren to draw a picture of Elizabeth Klein from the Big Finish audios. Klein (voiced by Tracey Childs) is a Nazi scientist from an alternate timeline in which the Nazis won the war. She temporarily travels with the Doctor as his companion, a strained relationship if ever there was one! I have written a lot of fan fiction about her.

Drawing Klein was a challenge for Jokerxsiren as we have only ever seen the face and shoulders of the character. I like the figure that she has given her- a mature woman who has aged very well, but is not skinny. One of the things I love about Klein is that she is a mature woman who is elegant and sexy. Too many Doctor Who characters are 20-something girls in short skirts.

I asked the artist to draw Klein in a floral dress. In my fan fiction I have always described Klein as wearing feminine clothes and avoided putting her in uniforms or boots. This creates a contrast with her cold personality.
